: Standard Char-tered Bank has launched a dedicated lounge at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, to serve its premium customers, prior to their international departures.
The modern architectured Signature Lounge with plush interiors, offers high speed WiFi connectivity and the best-in-class catering. Standard Chartered's Priority Banking clients and premium cardholders will have access to the lounge.
Rashed Khan Menon, Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, inaugurated the lounge along Muhammad Enamul Bari, Chairman, Biman Bangla-desh Airlines; M Naim Hassan, Chairman Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and representatives of different airlines.
For over hundred years, the British bank has endeavoured to promote trade and commerce in Bangladesh by providing clients with the best banking products and services this market has to offer, according to Naser Ezaz Bijoy, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh.
"The launch of this lounge is a part of this commitment," he added.
As Bangladesh's economy grows, there has been an increasing demand for air travel, said Aditya Mandloi, head of retail banking of Standard Cha-rtered Bangla-desh.
"We believe the Signature Lounge will set a new benchmark for travel hospitality in Bangladesh, by giving our valuable clients access to world-class services and unique comforts while they travel to destinations across the world," he added.
Mahfuz Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of Nakshikatha, who would manage and operate the lounge, was also present on the occasion.
