: The wheel chair basketball team of the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) has left for Kathmandu on Monday, November 13, to participate in the 5-day International Basket Ball Tournament.
The CRP team consists of 30 members including 13 females. Of the total 20 are players and 10 officials.
A Boeing 737-800 of US-Bangla Airlines left at 12:30 with the CRP team and landed at Kathmandu at 2:15 Nepal time. The team is expected to return on 19 November after end of the tournament.
The airline is acting as associate of the CRP basketball team and extended all kinds of cooperation to make the travel of the team members happy. The team was provided separate check-in; immigration counters; special check-in at boarding gate. Special announcement to welcome the team onboard was also made.
To make the travel of the CRP team more comfortable, the airline decided to operate Boeing 737-800 instead of Dash-8Q400 aircraft on both November 13 and 19. On both the days ground time at Kathmandu has been extended to one hour in place of 45 minutes for the benefit of the wheel chair team members.
Leader of the wheel chair team Mr. Salim Rahman said that team was happy to travel by US-Bangla Airlines.
