Jet Airways celebrate silver jubilee

Mumbai : Jet Airways, India's premier full service international airline celebrated the momentous milestone of 25 glorious years of service on May 5.
Credited with transforming the face of Indian aviation, Jet Airways first flight 9W321 took off on May 5, 1993 from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, marking its humble journey of "Connecting India to the World."
From a modest beginning of a fleet of four aircraft serving six destinations in early 1993_ to its present day fleet of a 119, serving over 450 destinations globally along with its partner airlines; Jet Airways has been privileged to play a modest role in contributing to the growth of the Indian economy by enabling and facilitating passenger and freight businesses pan-India as well as internationally, and as significantly, fostering the growth of trade and tourism across India and the world.
The airline's brand and service philosophy defined personally by Naresh Goyal, Chairman, characterised by warmth, care and personal attention also brought to life the spirit of Indian hospitality. The Naresh Goyal-promoted airline is hoping to wrestle back business on domestic and international routes from its more nimble rivals through a slew of measures.
On the cards are a brand refresh with new products on board its Boeing B737 and B777 planes and a revamped website and mobile application for better customer engagement and revenue gains.
"The introduction of Boeing B737 Max planes will change on-board experience. We are changing the interior of Boeing B777 and will elevate Business-Class seats, which we feel would be a game changer," said Vinay Dube, Chief Executive Officer.
