Thousands of flights across the US affected by extreme weather

New York: Thousands of flights to and from New York have either been cancelled or delayed due to a massive winter “bomb cyclone” which hit the US East Coast on January 4.
Thousands of flights across the US were affected by the extreme weather and multiple schools have been closed.
“As a result of severe snowstorms, flights operating to and from New York JFK airport on January 4, 5 and 6 have been impacted," an spokesperson of Dubai based Emirates Airline said.
"Passengers holding tickets to and from New York JFK are advised to contact their travel agency or the local Emirates office.”
Emirates said passengers were also advised to check the status of their flights onemirates.comfor the latest information regarding their flights..
On January 5, three JFK-bound flights were delayed from Dubai along with one Dubai-bound flight from New York.
On January 6, another two flights bound to Dubai from JFK were delayed, along with two cancelled, followed by another two cancellations from Dubai to New York. Other Airlines of the region are also facing the same situation.
