Biman Board gets new Chairman

Dhaka: Mustafa Kamal Uddin, Ex-Senior Secretary of Public Security Department of Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as the new Board Chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism announced the formation of the board and its members on January 15 through a circular. 

However, the other board members of the national carrier remain unchanged. 
Earlier, on August 25, 2017, Mustafa Kamal Uddin became the Secretary of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs. He retired from the service on January 12, 2023. 
Prior to Mustafa Kamal Uddin, Sajjadul Hassan, former senior secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, served as the Chairman of the national flag carrier.

Currently, the Directors of the Board are: chairman of the National Board of Revenue, senior secretary of the Finance Department, secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, secretary of the Maritime Affairs Unit of the Ministry of External Affairs, chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), assistant chief of Air Staff (Operations), engineer-in-chief of the Army, president of BGMEA, Supreme Court Advocate Barrister Tanjib-ul Alam, Managing Director of The Computers Limited Khondkar Atique-e-Rabbani, and CEO and Managing Director of Biman.
