New Delhi : Air India has announced increasing the frequency of the tri-weekly Delhi and Copenhagen flight, launched in September last year to four days a week from May 11.

Buoyed by the occupancy rate of its Delhi-Copenhagen flight, the airline has taken this action, even as it planned new services from Mumbai to Germany soon.

Air traffic between India and Denmark has seen a robust growth of over 10 per cent and the number of visas issued rose by about 20 per cent during the last couple of years.

Sources said the frequency of services from Delhi to Austria's capital Vienna would be announced soon.

The disinvestment-bound national carrier is also looking at starting new services from Mumbai to some European cities, the details of which is being finalised.

Among European cities, Air India flies directly to destinations including Stockholm, Madrid, Vienna, Paris, Frankfurt, London, Rome, Birmingham and Milan.
