Dhaka : Bangladesh's economy has been growing consistently over the last few years and I am very bullish that export demand will continue to grow from strength to strength.
Shum Velu, Regional Vice President West Asia and Africa, SIA Cargo said this while addressing Top Cargo Agents Award 2018 ceremony at The Westin Dhaka on July 10. Tanvir Zaman, Executive Director, One World Aviation Limited (OWAL - GSA), was present on the occasion.
The agents awards was held to recognise the top SIA Cargo agents for the financial year 2017-2018.
In his brief address Shum Velu thanked all the agents for their contributions to the station's performance.
TM Wang, General Manager Bangladesh, Singapore Airlines also thanked the agents for their consistent support throughout the year.
He informed that SIA will re-launch the world's longest non-stop commercial flight on October 11 this year between Singapore and New York using the ultra-long range (ULR) Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The awards were given in two categories: Gold and Silver: Dallah Bangladesh, DSV Air and Sea Limited, Expo Freight Limited and WAC Logistics were honoured with Gold awards.
There were six Silver awardees: APM Global Logistics Bangladesh, Freight Management, Nippon Express Bangladesh, Scanwell Logistics Bangladesh, Topstar Cargo Systems and Trust Cargo Services.
A sumptuous dinner and musical performance followed the award ceremony.
