Md Mahbub Ali, State Minister for MoCAT cutting a ribbon to inaugurate Mujib Corner at the lobby of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka
Dhaka : On the occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's birth centenary and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka inaugurated an exclusive gallery titled "Mujib Corner" at the hotel's lobby on March 17.
The gallery has been colourfully decorated with exclusive collections of rare publications on the visionary leadership of Father of the Nation.
Md Mahbub Ali, State Minister and Mokammel Hossain, Secretary for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Md Alamgir, Managing Director, Hotels International Ltd, the owning company of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, and Asif Ahmed, Acting General Manager of the hotel attended the inauguration ceremony, among others.
The hotel also organised an essay writing competition on Bangabandhu, participated by the children of the hotel associates. The prize giving ceremony of the contest was held at the hotel's grand ball room where the State Minister for MoCAT distributed attractive gifts to the winners and participants.
To further celebrate the 101st birthday of Bangabandhu, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel distributed food among over 200 orphans.
