Bangladeshi chef awarded in Young Chef Olympiad in India

Kolkata : Aqsa Iqbal, a young chef from National Hotel and Tourism Training Institute (NHTTI) of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation has won the "Welcome Skills Special Achievement Award" in the Young Chef Olympiad India 2019, held from January 28 to February 2.
Young chefs from 52 countries including Bangladesh contested in 16 categories of the 5th version of the Olympiad, organised by International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) in association with International Hospitality council. Jaheda Begum, Head of Culinary Training of BPC was the mentor of Bangladesh team.
The primary objective of the Olympiad is to create an international platform for interaction of young professional culinary talents from around the world and to display the creative and innovative aspects of developing the profile of chefs.
