Dhaka : Country's one of the leading commercial banks-Prime Bank PLC-has joined hands with The Bangladesh Monitor in organising the first ever recognition programme for establishments and individuals for their service excellence in the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors of Bangladesh.
A total of 31 establishments and five individuals in 25 categories will be formally recognised at a gala award ceremony on October 5, 2024 at Ruposhi Bangla Grand Ball Room of InterContinental Dhaka.
Peter A Semone, Chairman of Pacific Asia Travel Association, will be present on the occasion as the Chief Guest and handover the awards among their winners.
It may be mentioned here that The Bangladesh Monitor has taken the initiative of instituting the awards for the first time in the country for recognising the outstanding achievements, commitments and dedication of those who have contributed significantly in flourishing the sectors and taking it further.
Huge enthusiasm and interest have been found in the trade and a very encouraging number of participants registered themselves for the awards. A record number of one hundred eight thousand votes were cast online in favour of a total of one hundred thirty-five contestants in different categories.
Leading online travel agency Buytickets, travel technology provider Sabre and popular tea brand Halda Valley are supporting the programme as Partners.
