Joyeeta organises cooking course for women entrepreneurs at NHTTI

Joyeeta Foundation – an initiative under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs has undertaken an extensive program to provide culinary training to women entrepreneurs. With the support from National Hotel and Tourism Training Institute (NHTTI) under Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC), Joyeeta will organize 12 ‘Cooking and Baking’ courses for 240 women entrepreneurs, who are either engaged in the food and catering business or have the plan to start such a business. 

The first ten-day long course was formally launched by Afroza Khan, Managing Director of Joyeeta Foundation at NHTTI at Mahakhali today, March 2. Md. Hannan Mia, Chairman, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation; Farida Pervin, Addl. Secretary, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs; Akhlakur Rahman, Principal, NHTTI were present among others on the occasion. 

The objective of the program is skilled development by imparting training of international standards to aspiring women entrepreneurs. Each course will accommodate 20 trainees and the course duration will be ten days. Jahida Begum, a Senior Trainer of NHTTI will coordinate the courses.
