Dhaka: The private carrier US-Bangla Airlines has launched GDS sales in China, using TravelSky, via the Airlines’ Zenith PSS (Passenger Service System), provided by Travel Technology Interactive (TTI).
The GDS channel in China has been launched to support sales of the carrier’s daily flights between Bangladesh and Guangzhou launched in 2018.
“The success of our China operations is crucial to the airline’s growth. Since the launch of GDS sales in China with TravelSky, we have seen excellent growth in passenger numbers and yield,” said Mohammed Abdullah Al Mamun, Managing Director, US-Bangla Airlines.
“The TravelSky GDS link is our most recent GDS development. Zenith has been connected to Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo, Worldspan and Abacus GDS’ for many years but this is our first launch of the TravelSky GDS, placing Zenith among a very limited list of PSS’ who are able to distribute via TravelSky,” said Gregoire Echalier, CEO, TTI.
US-Bangla currently serves to eight domestic destinations and eight international destinations in China, Thailand, India, Oman, Malaysia, Singapore and Qatar with a fleet of Boeing 737-800, ATR72-600 and Dash-8 Q400 aircraft.
The carrier also has plans to expand both its fleet and international network further this year.
TTI has been working with US-Bangla Airlines since the very beginning. “We are very honoured to be the technology provider behind their significant growth and great success in the past five years, with the carrier forecasted to reach nearly two million passengers in 2019,” added Echalier.
