Dhaka: The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh has announced today that domestic flight services will resume from June 1 after over two month long suspension following the coronavirus pandemic.
Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman, Chairman of CAAB, said, the operations will initially begin with limited domestic flights to Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet airports only in compliance with health regulations.
Resumption of flights to Saidpur airport is under process, added Chairman of CAAB.
On resuming flights to Jashore, Rajshahi, Barishal and Cox's Bazar airports, Rahman further mentioned that decisions would be taken after monitoring the situation for a week.
If these airports can ensure the necessary facilities for passengers and flights within a week complying with hygiene rules, then they will be allowed to operate flights as well, claimed Rahman.
