Dhaka: Commerce Minister Tofael Ahmed, MP urged upon the Ministry of Civil Aviation & Tourism and the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh to seriously look into upgrading the facilities and services at all the three international airports in Bangladesh, specially at Shahjalal Int. Airport, Dhaka, since these are the gateways to Bangladesh and they reflect country’s image to the outside world. He was speaking as the Chief Guest at a seminar on “Challenges and future of local Airlines”, organized by Aviation Operators Association of Bangladesh at the Palm View Restaurant in Kurmitola, Dhaka.

Group Cap (Retd) Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director, NOVOAIR in his key-note address urged upon the Ministry to allow them to set up their hangers and other facilities, for better maintenance of their aircrafts and give them level playing field with the national carrier to meet unfair competitions. Besides, he also placed various other recommendations for smooth functioning of the private airlines in the country.
