Sera Bangalee Award to be conferred on Tommy Miah

KOLKATA: Tommy Miah of The Original Raj, Edinburgh, United Kingdom fame, has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious Pratyahik Khabar Sera Bangalee Award (The Outstanding Global Bengali Award) of his contributions towards the society.

He will be conferred the honour at the Gala Evening of Pratyahik Khabar Sera Bangalee on July 15 at Bolpur Town Hall, Shantiniketan– The Land of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore , Birbhum, West Bengal, India at 6pm.

Priyanath Chattopadhyay, Editor, Pratyahik Khabar, in a letter dated July 8 to the celebrity Chef said, he would be honoured for his outstanding performance as an internationally acclaimed Chef , for his service for the upliftment of the youth community both in Bangladesh and United Kingdom and his recent award of MBE by Her Majesty the Queen of United Kingdom.

He mentioned that the first national Bengali daily newspaper “Pratyahik Khabar” has 35 editions on pan-India basis along with a dedicated mobile apps, web portal, national English weekly Saturday Times and multilingual non-wire agency for South East Asian countries STNA (Saturday Times News and Analysis).
