Dhaka: National carrier Biman has won the prestigious `Foreign Airline of the year-2015’ award from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Malaysia. The award was given by the KLIA Management for carrying highest number of passengers between Kuala Lumpur and South Asian cities.
Country Manager of Biman in Malaysia Mohammed Salahuddin received the award from YB Dato’ Seri LiowTiong Lai, Malaysian Minister of Transport at a ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur recently. Biman was adjudged ‘Foreign airline of the year’ by KLIA in 2011 and 2014 as well.
KLIA is one of the busiest airports in the world which handled over 354 thousand flights serving almost fity million passengers in 2015.
