Kamarudin Bin Meranun, Executive Director of AirAsia cuts ribbon of AirAsia PSA at Sylhet

AirAsia, a Malaysian low-cost airline has opened Passenger Sales Agent (PSA) office in Sylhet on April 22.
The PSA office was formally inaugurated by Datuk Kamarudin Bin Meranun, Executive Chairman of AirAsia.
He said that AirAsia will be cheapest airlines for destinations to Malaysia and also connect with South-East countries.
The AirAsia senior executive said Sylhet Osmani International Airport could become a potential route for direct flights from Sylhet to Malaysian destinations in future.
AirAsia will look into the possibilities for direct flights to Malaysia from Sylhet, he remarked.
AirAsia has made good business from Bangladesh and expects the traffic will significantly grow in future, he said.
AirAsia Bangladesh GSA Chairman K.M. Mujibul Haque, Vice Chairman Sheikh Mominul Haque and CEO Morshedul Alam Chakladar were present at the inauguration.
The PSA office in Sylhet has been given to Shiper Air Services owner Shiper Ahmed, President of Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
At the inauguration of the AirAsia PSA office, Kamarudin cut the ribbons of the PSA office and also cut cakes to celebrate the occasion.
The Executive Chairman accompanied by his family flew directly from Malaysia in a private jet and landed at Osmani International Airport. Before the inaugural function, he visited Hazrat Shah Jalal shrine and prayed for salvation of the Holy Saints departed soul.
