Iran plans to promote Tabriz ‘Capital of Islamic Tourism’

In synchronisation of Iranian city of Tabriz as “Capital of Islamic Tourism”, Iran Cultural Centre in Dhaka said that in with the ‘Tabriz 2018’, in East Azerbaijan Province they will arrange several events to introduce the Islamic heritage to attract Bangladeshi visitors.
Tabriz is the largest economic hub and metropolitan area in northwest Iran. The population is overwhelmingly Azerbaijani, though Persian is spoken by residents as a second language. The city is famous for its handicrafts, including hand-woven rugs and jewellery.
Tabriz “Capital of Islamic Tourism” had been announced at the three-day 10th Session of the Islamic Conference of Tourism Ministers (ICTM) of OIC held in February in the Bangladesh capital.
Dhaka was chosen as the "City of Tourism" for 2019 by the tourism ministers of the OIC member states at the closing session of the Conference of Tourism Ministers.
As both Bangladesh and Iran are members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), so, it will be easy for Bangladeshi nationals to visit Iran.
