Dhaka : Pilgrims will have to spend about BDT 1 lac more to perform Hajj in 2022 compared to 2020, as the minimum cost under government management has been announced BDT 4,62,150.
Under government management, BDT 5,27,340 lac has been announced as the maximum cost (package no 1), BDT 1,02,340 more than in 2020, said State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan while talking to the media after attending a meeting on Hajj on May 11.
Also, the minimum cost under private management has been announced BDT 4,56,530 and the private Hajj agencies can announce more than one package in keeping consistent with the government packages.
Hajj flights carrying Bangladeshi pilgrims to Saudi Arabia will commence on May 31, said the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry. In 2022, the government has set BDT 1.40 lac as airfare.
