Dhaka: US-Bangla Airlines, the largest private carrier in the country, recently became an International Air Transport Association (IATA) Member Airline.

This makes US-Bangla Airlines the first private carrier in Bangladesh to become an IATA Member Airline.

To this effect, on October 18, Blair Cowles, Regional Director, Operations, Safety and Security—Asia Pacific Region, IATA, officially handed over the IATA Member Certificate to the airline.

Captain Lutfor Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of US-Bangla Airlines received the certificate on behalf of the airline.

Habibur Rahman, Chief Financial Officer; Shafiqul Islam, Head of Sales; Md Kamrul Islam, General Manager—Public Relations from US-Bangla Airlines and Parvez Ibrahim, Manager— Industry Affairs from IATA Bangladesh were also present on the occasion.
