Cathay Pacific earns three honors at 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards

Dhaka: Cathay Pacific has
been recognized among the world’s top three airlines at the 2026 Skytrax World
Airline Awards, while also taking the titles of World’s Best Cabin Crew and
World’s Best First Class Airline Lounge.
The awards highlight the
Hong Kong-based carrier’s cabin service and premium ground facilities, with the
lounge recognition following the reopening of its redesigned First Class
facility, The Wing, at Hong Kong International Airport.
Cathay Group Chief
Executive Officer Ronald Lam accepted the honors at the awards ceremony in
London alongside senior operations and service executives.
Lam said the recognition
reflected the work of Cathay employees and would encourage the airline to
continue improving its customer experience.
The airline said its
cabin crew award recognized the consistency and service delivered by frontline
employees. The First Class lounge award, meanwhile, followed an extensive
redesign of The Wing, First, which now emphasizes privacy, residential-style
comfort, dining and personalized service.
Cathay has committed
about HKD 150 billion to investments aimed at expanding and modernizing its
fleet, upgrading cabins and lounges, and advancing digital services.
The airline said those
investments are also intended to support Hong Kong’s position as an
international aviation hub.
The annual Skytrax awards are based on passenger evaluations of airlines and airport services worldwide.
