Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan names acclaimed Egyptian chef as culinary head


Dhaka: Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan has appointed Chef Mohamed Kassem as its new executive chef, bringing over 18 years of international culinary experience to the property.
The Egyptian culinary expert previously worked with several major hospitality brands, including IHG Hotels & Resorts, Hyatt, Kempinski, and Hilton, across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
Chef Kassem specializes in Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, European, and international cuisine. His career includes stints at luxury hotels and resorts in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, India, Oman, and Egypt.
Among his notable achievements is launching Syrah, the signature Middle Eastern restaurant at Hyatt Regency Delhi, where he introduced regional flavors that helped establish the venue as a popular dining spot.
At Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, Chef Kassem will lead all culinary operations, including the hotel's restaurants, banquets, and special events, along with menu innovation.
He aims to blend Middle Eastern culinary heritage with contemporary international flavors to create distinctive dining experiences for guests.
