Dhaka’s rail link with 3 divisions restored after 5 hrs

Rail communication of the capital with three divisions Rajshahi, Rangpur, and Khulna - was restored on Monday morning after five hours of disruption following the engine failure of an oil tanker near Mohanpur railway station in Sirajganj's Ullapara.
The rail communication resumed around 9:00 am.
Rafiqul Islam, master of Ullapara railway station, said the engine of the oil-laden Chattogram-bound train named 'NG DC Block Dhaka' from Dinajpur crippled around 4:00 am near Mohanpur railway station.
Following the engine failure, rail communication between Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Khulna remained suspended for about five hours.
The railway station master further said that the rail communication resumed around 9:00 am after a rescue train from Bangabandhu Bridge West Railway Station removed the oil-laden train from the tracks.
