Jatra.com launches insurance solution for country’s travellers
Dhaka: The emergence of Bangladesh as one of the world's fastest-growing economies while most of the world has its doors shut for travel has created a unique challenge. The need and desire to travel has never been greater, yet the fear of low safety standards and insurance is at an all-time high. Post-Covid startup Jatra.com aims to solve this problem in the new normal era by providing travellers from all walks of life with the security they need.
Jatra.com, a travel and hospitality startup, saw a clear gap in the current market: countless brands and organisations speaking about the safety of their consumers. However, there was no support offered to back up this claim.
With the help of a third party insurance provider, Jatra introduced a first of its kind insurance solution for travellers in the country.
The guests of Jatra will be fully insured the moment they enter the Jatra flagship till they check out. This bite-sized insurance provided for the guests includes Accidental Death Benefit, Accidental Medical Expense, and Emergency Medical Evacuation expense. All guests will automatically be insured once they check-in into any of the Jatra accommodations. The validity for the insurance will be from the guest’s check-in till their check out. This partnership goes into effect on Dec 1, 2021
