Qatar Airways wins four Skytrax awards, retains five-star rating


Dhaka: Qatar Airways has
collected four honors at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, including
World’s Best Business Class, while retaining its five-star airline rating.
The Doha-based carrier
also received awards for Best Airline in the Middle East, World’s Best Business
Class Lounge and World’s Best Onboard Wi-Fi at the awards ceremony in London.
The business-class award
marks the 13th time Qatar Airways has received the title, while its
Middle East award is the 14th. The airline has now won the best business-class
lounge category eight times.
This year also marked the
introduction of the World’s Best Onboard Wi-Fi award, with Qatar Airways
becoming its first recipient.
Qatar Airways Group Chief
Executive Officer Hamad Al-Khater credited the airline’s employees and said the
awards reflected their work during a challenging year.
The carrier’s Qsuite
business-class product was again recognized for its private suites and flexible
four-seat configuration, which allows passengers to dine or socialize together.
The airline’s Al Mourjan
Business Lounge – The Garden at Hamad International Airport received the lounge
award.
Qatar Airways said more than 25 million passengers have used its onboard connectivity across more than 96,000 flights, supported by its Starlink-equipped widebody fleet.
