Rosatom invites applications from Bangladeshis for international grant competition

Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom
has launched its International Grant Competition on Environmental and Social
Innovation, inviting individuals and organizations to submit projects aimed at
addressing environmental and community needs.
The competition seeks to promote
volunteer engagement and environmental awareness, support youth-led
initiatives, improve the quality of life of local communities and vulnerable
groups, and encourage innovative approaches to social development.
Applications are invited across 10
thematic areas, including youth and environmental education, support for
vulnerable groups and NGOs through volunteering, environmental protection,
volunteer networks, urban communities, animal welfare, sports and healthy
lifestyles, digital solutions for social initiatives, public-space improvement,
and cultural and heritage projects. Both new initiatives and distinct phases of
ongoing projects are eligible.
In 2026, the main competition is open to
organizations from Bangladesh, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye
and Uzbekistan.
A new special category, “Arctic:
Innovation and Sustainable Development,” is open to applicants worldwide. It
supports educational, scientific, outreach and youth-led projects that raise
awareness of the Arctic’s importance for sustainable economic development,
logistics, science and international cooperation. Eligible applicants include
NGOs, educational institutions, universities, youth organizations, museums and
environmental education groups.
Applications will be accepted until
November 1, 2026. Projects will be assessed on relevance, feasibility, economic
efficiency, systemic approach and long-term impact. Selected projects may
undergo online expert review, while winners will receive grant funding and may
receive expert advisory support during implementation.
Results will be announced in January
2027. For guidelines and application details, visit atom-grant.org.
