Nagad appoints football captain Jamal Bhuyan as brand ambassador


Dhaka
: Nagad Limited has appointed Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal
Bhuyan as its brand ambassador under a six-month partnership focused on
financial inclusion and digital empowerment.
The
mobile financial services provider signed an agreement with the footballer at
Sheraton Dhaka in Banani.
Md
Motasem Billah, Administrator of Nagad Limited, signed the agreement on behalf
of the company.
As
part of the partnership, Jamal will appear in promotional activities and
customer engagement campaigns aimed at connecting digital financial services
with young people and sports followers.
Jamal
has previously worked with Nagad.
He
said he was pleased to return to the company in a formal ambassadorial role.
"I
have worked with Nagad before and had a great experience," he said.
He
also praised the company's World Cup-related campaign, describing it as a
successful initiative.
Jamal
said Nagad has played a significant role in expanding digital transactions in
Bangladesh through innovation and customer-focused services.
Motasem
welcomed the footballer.
He
said the company intends to build stronger ties with Bangladeshi footballers.
He
added that Nagad plans to involve more prominent players in its activities and
continue supporting sports and athletes across the country.
Senior
Nagad officials, including Syed Himyanuddin Ahmed, Anwar Ullah, Shahin Sarwar
Bhuiyan, Afzal Ahmed and HUM Mehedi Sajjad, attended the signing ceremony. This
marks a promising future collaboration between the two parties.
