Renaissance Dhaka brings Chittagong-themed buffet dinner


Dhaka: Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel has introduced a Chittagong-themed buffet dinner, “Mejjanot Aiyun,” that draws on the tastes, traditions, and generous spirit of Chittagong’s renowned mejban culture to bring authentic flavors to the capital.
The main spread will feature Chatgaya Akhni Biriyani, Mejban Gost, Loitta Shutki Bhuna, Chhuri Shutki Do Piaza, Vetki Paturi, Chonar Dal, and Bhuna Khichuri.
Guests can start with salads, cold canapés, local-style bhortas, and traditional pickles, including Loitta Shutki, Jolpai, Aamloki, and Aam Aachar.
The live stations will serve Chapti and Chita Pitha with Dhonia Pata, Shutki, Sorisha, and Kali Jira Vorta. A tawa station will offer Kolija with Luchi, while the live fry station will prepare Potengar Chingrir Chop, Loita Fish Fry, and Rupchanda Fry.
The menu also includes comforting regional dishes such as Chatgaya Paya Nolli, Murog Narikel Korma, Sorshe Kochur Loti, and Steamed Atop Rice, alongside a selection of contemporary international favorites.
For dessert, guests can enjoy Kheer Sandesh, Rasmalai, Sandesh, Mishti Doi, Tal-er Pitha, and Mera Pitha. Live Bhapa Pitha and Kheer Patisapta stations will also be available.
From October 11 to 19, the Chittagong-themed buffet dinner will be served at Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel's Bahar Multi-Cuisine Restaurant, located on level 3.
The offering has been priced at BDT 8,999 net per person. Additionally, an "Eat 3, Pay 1" offer will be available across all payment methods.
The hotel said, "Mejjanot Aiyun" comes as part of its commitment to bring a new culinary experience every month, highlighting regional food traditions and contemporary gastronomic concepts, while celebrating the diverse culinary identity of Bangladesh and beyond.
