German café chain Barock opens new outlet in Gulshan-2

Dhaka
: German café chain Barock Café has opened a new location in Dhaka's Gulshan-2,
adding another international-style café option to the capital's upscale dining
scene.
The
new outlet, at House 9/B on Road 51/53, was inaugurated on August 24. Barock
Café CEO Jeannette Shek and Managing Director Badal Ahmed attended the opening
ceremony.
The
Gulshan-2 location has been designed around European café aesthetics while
incorporating features intended for Bangladesh's contemporary café and dining
market.
Along
with coffee and food, the venue includes spaces that can be used for private
and professional gatherings. Customers can organize birthday celebrations,
family events, corporate meetings and other social functions at the outlet.
Ahmed
said the new location is intended to combine European café traditions with
modern dining preferences, offering customers a setting focused on coffee, food
and social experiences.
The
company said the Gulshan outlet is part of a wider expansion plan that will see
Barock Café establish additional locations.
According
to the company, the expansion is also expected to generate employment
opportunities as new outlets are opened.
Barock
Café further said it plans to direct part of its profits toward humanitarian
and social welfare initiatives, linking its business expansion with
community-focused activities.
