DHL Aviation appoints two sales directors for Asia

Dhaka: DHL Aviation has appointed two new senior directors to drive growth in Asia, where air cargo demand is rising fast.

Julie Zhu has been named Senior Director for Air Capacity Sales in China, while Jaspall Singh has been appointed as Senior Director for Air Capacity Sales in Southeast Asia.

DHL Aviation's Chief Cargo Officer Ingrid Raj confirmed the appointments in a social media post recently. She said Zhu started her new role on September 15, and Singh will take up his position on January 1. Both executives will report directly to Raj.

Raj said Southeast Asia and China are among the world's fastest-growing air cargo regions and need dedicated leadership. She added that the appointments reflect the company's commitment to investing where its customers are growing fastest.

Zhu joins DHL from Lufthansa Cargo, where she spent 22 years. Her most recent post was Head of Revenue Management and Pricing for Asia Pacific. She will be based in Shanghai.

Singh, on the other hand, has been with DHL for 16 years. He began his career in Aviation Commercial Services Finance and most recently served as Director of Revenue Management for China and Central and North Asia in Hong Kong. He will be based in Singapore.
