Emirates expands freighter network across East and Southeast Asia


Dubai: Emirates SkyCargo, freighter division of Emirates, has expanded its freighter operations across East and Southeast Asia to meet rising demand for air cargo services, strengthening connectivity between the region’s key manufacturing hubs and markets across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
During FY 2025/26, the carrier transported more than 439,000 tonnes of cargo from 12 markets in East and Southeast Asia, marking a 5% increase over the previous year.
As part of the expansion, Emirates SkyCargo has doubled its freighter services to Tokyo Narita from one to two weekly flights, increased operations to Taipei from one to two weekly flights, and expanded services to Hong Kong to 37 weekly freighter flights. The airline has also strengthened its presence in mainland China with three weekly freighter flights from Zhengzhou and resumed weekly freighter services to Singapore via Mumbai. Existing operations continue with weekly freighter flights to Bangkok and four weekly flights to Hanoi.
In addition to its dedicated freighter fleet, Emirates SkyCargo leverages the cargo capacity of more than 320 weekly passenger flights across the region, providing customers with flexible, high-frequency logistics solutions.
The airline also offers specialist cargo products, including Emirates Vulnerable for high-value electronics, Emirates Fresh for perishables, Emirates Pharma for life-saving medicines, and Emirates Vital for clinical trials and bio-innovation materials.
