Gulf Air launches seasonal flights to Egypt's El Alamein

Dhaka: Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air has launched seasonal flights to El Alamein, Egypt, further strengthening air connectivity between Bahrain and Egypt.
A release from the airline said Gulf Air CEO Martin Gauss received Egypt's Ambassador to Bahrain, Riham Khalil, along with senior industry leaders, at Bahrain International Airport ahead of the inaugural flight's departure.
Upon arrival at El Alamein International Airport, the inaugural flight was welcomed with a water cannon salute. A reception followed, attended by a senior Gulf Air delegation, airport officials, and invited guests.
The carrier said the new seasonal service reinforces its role as a key regional connector, enhancing travel options between Bahrain and Egypt while supporting broader bilateral ties.
El Alamein is among Gulf Air's summer 2026 seasonal destinations, which also include Geneva, Malaga, and Nice.
