Navi Mumbai Airport adds international routes

The transfers will
support Terminal 1’s redevelopment at CSMIA, while both airlines continue
operating at the existing airport.
Air India Express plans to
begin the transition in December 2026 with four daily domestic flights from
Navi Mumbai. Its Oman services and proposed Kuwait flights are expected to move
in January 2027, subject to approval for the Kuwait route. Services to Jeddah,
Riyadh, Dammam, Doha, Muscat and Sharjah will also transfer, with the airline
targeting completion by the start of the 2027 northern summer schedule.
IndiGo will launch
international operations from Navi Mumbai in February 2027, aiming to serve 12
destinations by July. Eleven transferred routes will connect the airport with
Bahrain, Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, Madinah, Kuwait, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah,
Muscat, Dhaka and Jakarta. A new daily Kathmandu service will complete the
network.
Selected domestic flights
will also move to support connections. However, some IndiGo services affected
by the redevelopment will shift to CSMIA’s Terminal 2 instead, making it
important for passengers to verify their departure airports.
The changes will also
create capacity at CSMIA for IndiGo’s planned international expansion across
Asia, Africa and Europe in 2027. Further route details have yet to be
announced.
