Qatar Tourism joins PATA to expand Asia Pacific links

The membership was
formalized at a signing ceremony held at the Qatar Pavilion during World Travel
Market (WTM) London 2026.
Omar Al Jaber, Chief of
Operations Affairs at Qatar Tourism, and PATA CEO Noor Hamid signed the agreement.
The ceremony was attended by Saad Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism, and
Henry Oh, Chairman of PATA.
Through the membership,
Qatar Tourism will gain access to PATA’s network of destinations, airlines,
hospitality companies, travel businesses and tourism authorities.
The arrangement is
expected to create opportunities for closer industry cooperation, including
knowledge sharing, business networking and joint research. Qatar Tourism will
also be able to participate in PATA’s industry programs and events.
The partnership comes as
Qatar seeks to expand its international tourism outreach and build stronger
relationships with travel industry stakeholders in Asia Pacific markets.
PATA brings together
organizations from across the travel and tourism industry, providing a platform
for collaboration and the exchange of market insights.
The membership is
intended to support Qatar’s efforts to develop commercial relationships and
increase engagement with tourism partners across the region.
