Sajek tourist spot closed until further notice, visitors asked to leave by October 13


Dhaka: The Rangamati district administration has temporarily closed the Sajek tourist destination in Baghaichhari upazila from 6:00 pm on October 11, citing unavoidable circumstances.
In an urgent public notice issued on October 11, the administration said the closure would remain in effect until further instructions.
Tourists currently staying in Sajek have been asked to leave the area by 5:00 pm on October 13 and return safely to their respective destinations.
The notice was signed by the Rangamati deputy commissioner and issued for public information.
However, the notice did not specify the circumstances that prompted the decision.
Sajek, located in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, is one of Bangladesh's popular tourist destinations, attracting visitors for its hills, scenic landscapes, and natural beauty.
