Air India, Adani Airports launch online duty-free shopping

The
platform is integrated into Air India's website and mobile app, giving eligible
travelers the option to browse products, place orders and make payments online.
Purchases can then be collected from designated duty-free counters at
participating airports.
The
service initially covers Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Mumbai, Navi
Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram, with the companies planning to extend it to
additional airports.
Air
India said customers will receive introductory discounts of up to 25% from
standard retail prices, with some offers eligible for additional bank
promotions and seasonal benefits.
The
online catalog includes fragrances and cosmetics, confectionery, electronics
and alcoholic beverages.
Members
of Air India's Maharaja Club loyalty program will also earn three Maharaja
Points for every INR 100 spent on eligible duty-free purchases.
The
service is also available to travelers on qualifying codeshare itineraries,
including flights operated by Air India Express.
The
companies said the initiative combines Air India's digital customer platform
with AAHL's airport retail operations, allowing passengers to arrange duty-free
purchases as part of their travel plans.
