Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport unveils week-long Chinese food festival
Dhaka: Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport, a property under IHG Hotels & Resorts, is hosting "Imperial Flavors of China," a week-long celebration of Chinese cuisine, culture, and heritage, from August 13 to 19.
The Imperial Flavors of China Dinner Buffet is being served at the hotel's Mosaic restaurant, offering guests an extensive spread of authentic Chinese delicacies, Asian-inspired creations, and distinctive desserts curated by the hotel's culinary team.
The buffet features traditional Chinese favorites such as Ma Lai Go, Jian Dui (Sesame Balls), Classic Chinese Egg Tarts, Traditional Mooncakes, Eight-Treasure Rice Pudding (Ba Bao Fan), Almond Jelly with Lychee, and Chinese Banana Fritters.
Asian highlights on the menu include Thai Sweet Coconut Sticky Rice with Mango (Khao Neeo Mamuang), Coconut Tapioca Pudding with Mango and Pomelo, and Five-spice Chocolate Chiffon Cake.
Alongside the culinary offerings, the hotel is organizing Chinese cultural performances throughout the week, including Dragon Dance performances and other traditional showcases, bringing the festive spirit of China to the property.
Sun Xin, Station Manager of Air China, formally inaugurated the festival on August 13, marking the start of the week-long celebration at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashwani Nayar, Area General Manager, IHG Southwest Asia, and Cluster General Manager, Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport and InterContinental Dhaka Airport, said the festival was more than a dinner buffet and reflected a celebration of Chinese cuisine, culture, and heritage.
Nayar added that the hotel had brought together authentic flavors, traditional delicacies, and cultural performances to create an immersive experience for guests throughout the week.
US-Bangla Airlines, the airline partner of the festival, is offering one round-trip air ticket from Dhaka to Guangzhou and back as part of the celebration.
NCC Bank is the banking partner of Imperial Flavors of China. Guests can avail a Dine 4, Pay 1 offer using selected cards from NCC Bank, BRAC Bank, Dhaka Bank, Midland Bank, and other participating banks, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
