Biman suspends Riyadh flights indefinitely, to resume Dammam flights from October 21

In a press release, the
national flag carrier said services to the Saudi capital would remain halted
until further instructions are received from the relevant airport authorities.
Meanwhile, Biman plans to
resume flights to Dammam from October 21, subject to clearance from airport
authorities.
Flights to Jeddah and
Madinah continue to operate as scheduled, providing alternative travel options
for passengers heading to Saudi Arabia. The airline advised those with urgent
travel needs to consider these destinations.
Biman will continue
deploying higher-capacity aircraft on its Madinah route through October 18
before switching back to Boeing 787 aircraft from October 19.
The airline is also
working to arrange additional flights to Jeddah in response to passenger
demand, although a schedule has yet to be announced.
Biman said it would issue
further updates regarding flight operations and schedules as the situation
develops.
Passengers have been
advised to contact the airline’s sales offices for the latest information on
bookings, ticketing and travel arrangements.
The changes come as airlines review their operations amid security concerns affecting air travel in Saudi Arabia. Travelers are encouraged to confirm their flight status before departing for the airport.
