MTB supports ICECA 2026 as silver sponsor
The day-long conference
was held on August 7 at Sonapahar Farmhouse Resort, bringing together
researchers, academics, policymakers and climate experts to discuss
environmental challenges and possible solutions.
The conference featured
keynote and plenary sessions covering climate policy, energy governance,
sustainability and the role of women in addressing environmental challenges.
The keynote session, titled “Two Deltas, One Commons: Women’s Leadership and
the Future We Build Together,” focused on women’s leadership and the future of
climate action.
Two plenary sessions
examined natural rights and energy governance, as well as evidence-based
climate policy and global strategies for addressing climate change.
Researchers also
presented their work through parallel oral presentation sessions. Topics
included climate risk, renewable energy planning, environmental perceptions and
the socio-economic impacts of climate change in Bangladesh and other regions.
The conference concluded
with a prize-giving ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions to
environmental research and innovation.
Representing MTB at the
event were Faruk Ahmed of the Wholesale Banking Division, Mohammed Shahedul
Islam Chowdhury, Centre Manager of the Privilege Banking Centre, and Md. Mahady
Hassan Talukder, Relationship Officer of the Card Division.
