Prime Bank, CRP join hands for prosthetic services for people with disabilities

The organizations
recently signed a memorandum of understanding at Prime Bank’s headquarters in
Dhaka. Md. Ziaur Rahman, additional managing director and chief risk officer of
Prime Bank, and CRP founder Valerie A. Taylor signed the agreement for their
respective organizations.
Under the one-year initiative,
Prime Bank will provide funding through its corporate social responsibility
program to help cover prosthetic and orthotic devices, rehabilitation and other
essential care for people from low-income and marginalized communities.
The program will also
include multidisciplinary support such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy
and mental health services.
CRP will deliver the
services under established professional and medical standards, while Prime Bank
will oversee the initiative through regular reporting, reviews and impact
assessments.
Ziaur Rahman said the
program is intended to support greater independence and dignity for people
living with disabilities, adding that social progress should include the
empowerment of disadvantaged communities.
The partnership forms
part of Prime Bank’s broader CSR activities and its focus on accessibility and
inclusion. CRP will be responsible for implementing the services and ensuring
support reaches the intended beneficiaries during the project period.
