Rosatom Administration meets with the Impact Team 2050 Board

Members of the first Impact Team 2050 Board, Rosatom's international youth advisory board, introduced their successors during a meeting with Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom. The second Board was selected through a competitive process. Thirteen young professionals from Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Hungary, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Rwanda, Serbia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uzbekistan were chosen from 207 semi-finalists representing 58 countries. The new Board comprises young researchers, nuclear industry professionals, and leaders of youth organizations. Bangladesh is represented at the board by Promod Chandra Baidya, a young, talented technical person from Nuclear Power Plant Company Bangladesh Ltd (NPCBL). During their first meeting with Rosatom's senior management, the Board members outlined their action plan for the coming months. They will organize national youth dialogues to explore why many young talents continue to pursue alternative career paths despite the nuclear industry's growing reputation as a clean, innovative, and high-tech sector. The findings from these dialogues will be presented at the COP31 UN Climate Change Conference in Antalya, where the Board will hold its second meeting with Alexey Likhachev. The members will also help develop the youth programme for Nuclear Day at COP31 and visit the construction site of Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant. Speaking on the occasion, Alexey Likhachev said, "The new Impact Team 2050 Board has a vital role in shaping the international youth dialogue on the peaceful use of nuclear energy. We expect bold ideas from you and are ready to support your initiatives through our global expert community."
