Sarina Dhaka brings Peshawari flavors to Dhaka

Dhaka: Hotel Sarina Dhaka has launched the Peshawari Food Festival, running from August 16 to 30 at the property's Summerfields Restaurant, bringing together the rich culinary traditions and iconic flavors of Pakistan in an extensive buffet dinner experience.
Imran Haider, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh, formally inaugurated the event on August 16, along with Deputy High Commissioner Muhammad Wasif and other officials of the diplomatic mission. Representatives from media organizations, food bloggers, and influencers also attended the inauguration.
To ensure authenticity, Hotel Sarina Dhaka has flown in Guest Chef Rai Abbas from Pakistan specifically for the festival. Chef Abbas has put together a menu drawing on recipes from across the country's different regions.
The lineup includes Nalli Pulao, Kabuli Pulao, Chicken Sanawari, Mutton Shajahani Handi, Beef Namkeen, and Fish Hyderabadi Masala, along with Chicken Sindhi Biryani, Chicken Lahori Biryani, Chicken Yakhni Pulao, and Peshawari Naan, among other regional favorites.
One of the festival's highlights is a live grilling station, where Pakistani-style kebabs are prepared fresh in front of guests. Diners can also access Summerfields' usual continental and international buffet selections alongside the festival spread.
Hotel Sarina Dhaka said the culinary experience has been curated to showcase the iconic flavors of Pakistan, with particular attention to traditional cooking techniques, aromatic spices, and authentic regional recipes.
In addition to offering an exceptional dining experience, the festival aims to celebrate the cultural connection between Bangladesh and Pakistan through food and hospitality, the property added.
The Peshawari Food Festival buffet dinner has been priced at BDT 7,000 net per person. Guests can also enjoy a Buy 1 Get 2 offer, available on selected bank cards.
