Westin Dhaka unveils 'Taste of Arabia' food festival
Dhaka: The Westin Dhaka, in collaboration with BRAC Bank PLC, has launched "Taste of Arabia," an Arabian food festival celebrating the culinary heritage and authentic flavors of the Middle East.
The festival will be held at the hotel's Seasonal Tastes restaurant, running from July 30 to August 8, offering guests a gastronomic journey inspired by the kitchens of Arabia.
"Taste of Arabia" was officially inaugurated through a press meet and greet held at the property's premises on July 29, attended by diplomats, corporate leaders, aviation partners, and members of the media.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Ambassador of Egypt Omar Mohie Eldin Ahmed Fahmy, Director of the Foreign Aid Office at the UAE Embassy Rashed Al-Mali Al-Zaabi, Chief Executive Officer of Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC. Md. Shakawath Hossain, Country Manager of Air Arabia in Bangladesh Syed Md. Mobin Rashid, The Westin Dhaka and Sheraton Dhaka's General Manager Gary Farstad and Director of Sales & Marketing Mamunur Rahman Shumon.
The inauguration concluded with an exclusive tasting session featuring signature dishes that will be showcased throughout the festival.
Guest Chef Mahmud Abdel Fattah, visiting from Egypt, has joined Executive Chef Shopon Rozario and The Westin Dhaka's culinary team to curate a menu capturing the diverse culinary traditions of the Arab world.
Guests can look forward to an extensive buffet featuring regional specialties such as Signature Camel Kabsa, Camel Tagine, Sultan's Camel Majboos, Lamb Quzi, and Chicken Mandi. The spread will also include mixed grills, live Döner Kebab and Shawarma stations, an assortment of traditional mezze, freshly baked Arabic breads, and authentic Arabian desserts.
The Westin Dhaka said every dish has been thoughtfully prepared to recreate the vibrant flavors and warm hospitality of Arabia.
The "Taste of Arabia" buffet dinner will be available daily from July 30 to August 8, from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm, priced at BDT 9,450 net per person.
Guests can enjoy Buy 1 Get 3 (B1G3), Buy 1 Get 2 (B1G2), and Buy 1 Get 1 (B1G1) offers on selected BRAC Bank cards. Similar offers will also be available on cards from another 22 partner banks.
Additionally, Air Arabia will present a complimentary Dhaka–Sharjah–Dhaka return ticket for two as the grand prize in a raffle draw to be held during the festival.
