Dubai: Emirates, in collaboration with Emirates Airport Services, Emirates Engineering and dnata4good, has donated 430 upcycled baby strollers to children in need across the UAE.
The initiative began with surplus airport strollers, which were refurbished and upcycled by the Emirates Engineering team. dnata4good then coordinated with local organisations including Hope Amel UAE, Senses and Al Noor to distribute them. These organisations plan to use the strollers for supporting single mothers, assisting students, and for school trips.
Originally part of Emirates’ family-friendly services at Dubai International Airport, the iconic red strollers are available for complimentary use by families. After purchasing 1,000 new units in December 2025, Emirates set aside 430 older models for repurposing. The refurbished strollers were cleaned, sanitised, and prepared for their new users, extending their lifecycle while supporting the community.
