Thai Airways introduces brand-new A321neo on Bangkok-Dhaka flights

Dhaka: Thai Airways has introduced its brand-new Airbus A321neo aircraft on the Bangkok-Dhaka-Bangkok route, bringing upgraded cabin products and advanced technologies aimed at enhancing the overall passenger experience.

According to the Thai national carrier, the new aircraft type began operating on flight TG339 to Dhaka and the return flight TG340 to Bangkok starting August 15.

The airline's A321neo fleet features 16 Royal Silk Class seats arranged in a 2-2 and 1-1 configuration, offering 180-degree fully flat beds with up to 45 inches of pitch, while the Economy Class cabin holds 159 seats in a 3-3 layout.

Passengers in both cabins get access to a new in-flight entertainment system with 4K touchscreen displays, measuring 17.3 inches in Royal Silk Class and 13.3 inches in Economy Class, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth audio connectivity.

The aircraft also comes with in-seat power outlets, including AC power exclusively in Royal Silk Class, as well as USB-A and USB-C ports across both cabins for passengers to charge personal devices.

Thai Airways said the A321neo's Airspace cabin design offers more personal space and mood lighting, along with leather headrests in both classes. The overhead bins have also been enlarged, offering up to 60 percent more capacity and space for as many as four cabin bags each.

The airline added that the new-generation narrow-body aircraft consumes up to 15 percent less fuel compared with its previous-generation counterparts, aligning with its sustainability goals.

The new A321neo service operates daily on the Bangkok-Dhaka route. The Dhaka-bound flight TG339 departs Bangkok at 11:50 pm and arrives in Dhaka at 1:25 am the next day, except on Thursdays and Sundays, when it departs at 11:35 pm and arrives at 1:10 am.

The return flight TG340 leaves Dhaka at 2:45 am, landing in Bangkok at 6:15 am, except on Mondays and Fridays, when it departs at 2:30 am and arrives at 6:00 am.

In addition to TG339 and TG340, the Bangkok-based carrier currently operates another daily return service between the two capitals with its wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft.

Thai Airways said the upgrade reflects its commitment to delivering enhanced service and connectivity to the Bangladesh market, reaffirming the airline's focus on strengthening its regional network and providing passengers with a more comfortable, modern travel experience.
