All Sea Shell Properties flourishing in this travel season

Dhaka : Sea Shell Group currently has three properties spanned across the city and each is booming with guests in this travel season. Among the three hotels, two are business hotels located in Uttara - Hotel Sea Shell at 10 no sector and Sea Shell Residence at 4 no sector. Another property is the huge 70 bigha long Sea Shell Park and Resort at 3 no sector in Purbachal. All the properties are doing great business currently as travel has greatly recovered.     
Maksudur Rahman Raz, Cluster General Manager of the three hotels said this while speaking to The Bangladesh Monitor recently. 
He mentioned, Sea Shell Hotel and Sea Shell Residence have 44 and 26 rooms respectively while the 70 bigha long park and resort has 26 guest rooms in a four storied building. 
The resort boasts of a swimming pool, convention hall, multi-cuisine restaurant, sport field, rides and so on. It is currently fully booked in this winter season as domestic travellers are flocking to such resorts to enjoy staycations while international travel remains a hassle. 
Also this season every year calls for weddings. Hence Maksud shared the park and resort is hosting events one after another. 
The two business hotels, too, are almost fully booked currently with corporates from many MNCs and guests from many airlines, mentioned Maksud. The business properties also welcome many foreign business travellers, mainly Indians, Thais and Sri Lankans, among others. Recently, the Uzbekistan volleyball team of 33 players stayed at the Sea Shell Hotel.     
"Sea Shell Group is operating for 27 years. Over the course of time, it has garnered great brand value which has put its properties among the favourites of all," said Maksud. 
Maksudur Rahman Raz further mentioned that the group is going to open another hotel in 4 no sector of Uttara at Sea Shell Tower. It will have 20 suite rooms only and a buffet restaurant. By March 2022, the new hotel will be in operation, added Maksud. 
Maksud joined Sea Shell Group in May 2021. He has a vast experience in hospitality starting from 2005. Over the course of time, he has worked at Dhaka Sheraton, Westin, Seagull Cox's Bazar, Dhaka Regency, Comfort Inn, White Palace and now Sea Shell, among others. 
His education background includes bachelors and masters on English from Jagannath University and EMBA from Dhaka University on Tourism Management.
