Emirates increases freighter services to seven in India

Dubai: Emirates SkyCargo, the cargo transportation of Emirates, is strengthening its support for India’s rapidly growing export economy, providing businesses with vital air cargo connectivity to global markets.

To meet growing demand, Emirates SkyCargo has added new weekly freighter services to Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad, taking its total weekly freighter flights in India to seven. These services complement Emirates’ 167 weekly passenger flights, providing additional high-capacity connections to international trade routes.

With an estimated 2.2 million tons of international cargo moving through Indian airports annually, air freight remains critical for transporting high-value and time-sensitive goods.

Emirates SkyCargo transported more than 153,000 tons of Indian exports during FY2025/26, supporting key sectors including pharmaceuticals, perishables, high-tech electronics, engineering and automotive components, and fashion.

Each week, Emirates SkyCargo moves more than 650 tons of pharmaceuticals and over 600 tonnes of fresh food and other perishables from India to destinations worldwide via Dubai. Seasonal exports are also a key part of the network, with nearly 2,900 tons of Indian mangoes flown to global customers between April and June 2026.

The carrier also operates an extensive road feeder network, connecting businesses beyond major gateway cities to its global network. Over the past 12 months, more than 4,500 tons of import and export cargo moved through this trucking network.

Emirates SkyCargo offers cargo capacity across Emirates’ fleet of more than 280 aircraft, including dedicated freighters.
