Kuakata Tourism Carnival 2026 to be held on October 23, 24

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) will organize the Kuakata Tourism Carnival 2026 on October 23 and 24 to promote Kuakata as an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists and showcase its tourism potential internationally.

The carnival also aims to involve local communities in tourism activities, helping boost the local economy and accelerate socioeconomic development, according to the organizers.

A meet-the-press was held on September 29 at the Shailaprapat Auditorium of Tourism Bhaban in Agargaon to brief the media about the carnival's program and arrangements.

BPC Chairman and Additional Secretary Md. Shamimuzzaman presided over the event, while BPC Director (Commercial) and Grade-2 Officer Md. Gani-ul Azam delivered the welcome speech.

Officials and employees from different levels of the BPC, several celebrities from the cultural and sports sectors, and representatives of the event's implementing organizations — Action Cut Entertainment, Dhaka Talkies, and Sunflower 360 — attended the event.

The carnival is expected to highlight Kuakata's natural beauty, tourism attractions, and local culture while creating greater exposure for the destination among tourists from home and abroad.
