Air Astra receives second brand-new ATR 72-600

Dhaka: The country's youngest private carrier, Air Astra, has taken delivery of its second brand-new ATR 72-600 aircraft, marking a significant milestone in the airline's continued fleet and network expansion plans.
The aircraft, registered S2-STE, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 7:30 pm local time on August 19.

S2-STE is powered by Pratt & Whitney's latest-generation PW127XT engines, which offer improved efficiency and performance for regional flying. The aircraft features a single-class configuration with 72 Geven Neo Prestige seats.

He added that the carrier remains committed to further strengthening its fleet, expanding its network, and delivering safe and reliable service to travelers.
With five aircraft now in operation, Air Astra said it is better positioned to meet rising demand for domestic air travel in Bangladesh and to improve connectivity between key destinations nationwide.
