Malaysia Airlines, JDT FC extend partnership

Dhaka: Malaysia Airlines
and Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club (JDT FC) have renewed their strategic
partnership for another three years, extending their collaboration until 2029.
The renewed agreement
aims to strengthen the connection between aviation and sports while expanding
engagement opportunities with fans and communities in Malaysia and beyond.
The partnership was
formalized at a ceremony held at JDT Headquarters, Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, with
Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) President and Group CEO Captain Nasaruddin A.
Bakar and JDT FC Chief Operating Officer and Technical Director Alistair
Edwards representing the two organizations.
Under the extended
partnership, Malaysia Airlines will continue serving as JDT FC’s official
airline partner and support the club’s domestic and international travel
requirements through its extensive flight network.
The collaboration will
also include initiatives to enhance fan engagement, including exclusive travel
offers for JDT supporters. Malaysia Airlines will provide up to 10% discounts
on eligible flights under a special promotional offer available until September
30, 2026, for travel through December 31, 2026.
Captain Nasaruddin said
the partnership reflects Malaysia Airlines’ commitment to supporting Malaysian
sports and strengthening connections beyond air travel.
JDT FC’s Alistair Edwards
said the collaboration has grown beyond sponsorship into a partnership built on
shared values of excellence, ambition and national pride.
